Welcome to Residential Services
We understand that moving to a new country is a big step, that’s why we guarantee accommodation for international students during your first year of study, provided you apply by the annual deadline (Undergraduate and Postgraduate).
Finding the right accommodation can make a real difference when it comes to settling in and feeling at home. We have several accommodation options available, and our dedicated Residential Services team are on hand to assist you, every step of the way.
Which option is best for me?
Choosing your accommodation depends on a number of factors, such as what course you are studying, the location you would like to live in, and your preference of cooking and living arrangements. Single sex and alcohol-free accommodation is available in all residences, and we have a number of adapted and accessible rooms if required. Please specify if you would like to live in one of these areas on your application.
If you are living overseas, it might be difficult to view residences in person, so we have some helpful virtual tours available. We also recommend you attend any virtual Open Day events where you can ask questions and join talks.
Take a look at Our Residences to find out more about the different accommodation available during your first year of study.
Living Off-Campus
Some students decide that they would prefer to live off-campus in private sector student houses and flats in Swansea. If halls of residences are not for you then we have you covered. Our online, searchable database, Studentpad, allows you to locate available private housing, close to both campuses, as well as local facilities such as shops, bars and restaurants. This takes the effort and hassle out of house-hunting.
The Accommodation team are always happy to help and can support you with every step of the way.
Student Message Board
The Swansea University Student Message Board is a free service for students to meet and chat with other students who want to live together in the Swansea area. Use the message board to find available rooms and flatmates, or to let students know if there is a room spare in your student house.
