Who we are

The Academic Integrity Ambassadors are a student-led team, and together they decide how they can best promote Academic Integrity throughout the university. AIAs are students who volunteer their time and work hard to create opportunities for engagement. If you would like to support this programme, here are some ways you can do this:

  • If AIAs are in your module or department, they may ask you for opportunities to speak to the students. It would be great to support them in this by responding and arranging opportunities for them, such as setting aside some class time for them to speak.
  • If you learn about faculty events which could be a good opportunity for the AIAs to engage with students and staff, invite them to join along.
  • You could work with them to co-create resources about Academic Integrity
  • You could become a link to the AIAs meaning that you would be willing to receive emails about their activities and promote their events

Our activities

Some of the AIAs’ most recent activities include:

  • Setting up an information table at the Post Graduate Research Festival 2024 where they handed out information about Academic Integrity and engaged students in an online quiz
  • Creating a workshop in the Post Graduate Research Festival with invited guest speakers from other universities to talk about AI + Academic Integrity. This workshop included a student-round table discussion about what students would like to see in an AI policy from the university
  • Developing information posters about how to maintain Academic Integrity during exams
  • Designing bookmarks with links to resources about Academic Integrity
  • Presenting at the ALDinHe 2024 Conference about why they joined this programme, and the impact it has had on their academic life
  • Attending MSc Management Cafes in the School of Management to introduce themselves and promote discussion about Academic Integrity
  • Giving short presentations for students at The College to talk about cultural differences in Academic Integrity
  • Creating content for social media platforms
  • Collaborating with the library to provide workshops for post-graduate students on how to find helpful resources for their research projects
