The University of Bologna is located in Bologna in Northern Italy an hour and a half from Venice to the north east and Florence to the south west. Summers in Bologna can be very hot and humid and winters can be quite cold though snow is rare. Bologna is the oldest university in continuous operation and is a leading institution in Italy. The number of places in student halls is limited so be prepared to look off campus for accommodation and begin the process as soon as possible.
