Lodz (pronounced Woodge) is situated in Poland an hour and a half away from Warsaw. Lodz experiences cold winters with temperatures into the minuses and milder summers. The University is one of the biggest in Poland and regularly host guest speakers from renowned politicians to businessmen and cultural representatives. The university also offers an optional Polish Course you help you get to grips with the language while you are out there. On campus accommodation is available for exchanges students but is not guaranteed.

Important information
ACADEMIC YEAR: Classes begin in early October and finish in late June, depending on your exam timetable.
COSTS: As of 2023, Lodz estimates the monthly cost of living to be approx 300 - 350 Euros. Expect a rise for 24/25.
VISA: You will require a D-type visa to enter Poland and for the duration of your studies. As part of the visa application, you will need to provide evidence of adequate financial resources to cover the cost of living and more information will be provided by your host university once accepted. ACCOMMODATION: Accommodation is available on campus and priority is given to students who submit their application on time.
HEALTH INSURANCE: Lodz require valid medical insurance for your stay in Poland. They will accept medical insurance written/translated in English or Polish.
