Travel by plane from the UK is relatively straightforward, with many low-cost airlines offering flights from most UK destinations.

Important information
ACADEMIC YEAR: The academic year in Spain runs roughly from September to June/July. Exact dates will vary between universities.
VISA: You will need to apply for a study visa and you be required to provide financial evidence as part of the application. Your host university will provide you with more information about the process and more information can be found on the Spanish Government website. There can be significant delays so please do not leave this until the last minute as you cannot travel to Spain without it.
HEALTH INSURANCE: You will be required to purchase mandatory health insurance for your time in Spain. You cannot use Swansea University's travel cover as a substitute for this. The cost of insurance will vary between universities.
