Universidad de Granada is located in the city of Granada, a mid-sized provincial capital in the Andalucía region, southern Spain. Granada has a Mediterranean climate with a moderate to small amount of precipitation, falling mainly in autumn and winter. Granada is a safe, modern, university city in an outstanding geographical location just 40 minutes from the Mediterranean coast and 30 minutes from the Sierra Nevada ski resort. Granada offers a wide range of sports and leisure activities, such as skiing, mountaineering, hiking, rock climbing and water sports such as kayaking, water-skiing and windsurfing so students have plenty to get involved in and can benefit from the cultural diversity and stunning scenery that the area has to offer.
