Undergraduate Programmes
Candidates are expected to have achieved a Senior High School Graduation Diploma plus 1 year in a recognised Higher Education Institution (with 60% pass mark), including an IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in each part of the test (or equivalent).
OR
Candidates are expected to complete the GAOKAO with a minimum 75% overall average for most courses, including an IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in each part of the test (or equivalent). Candidates for Applied Medical Sciences require a minimum 78% overall average and candidates for Computer Science require 75% overall with 75% in Maths and two other science subjects.

Postgraduate Programmes
Candidates must hold a Bachelor Degree, or its equivalent, from a recognised University/College of Higher Education.
Courses that require a 2:2: Bachelor: 75% (70% for double first-class universities) awarded with IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each part of the test (or equivalent).
For non-standard grading systems: Hong Kong Baptist University (in conjunction with Beijing Normal University, P R China): CGPA 2.7. SHU-UTS SILC Business School (awarded by University of Technology, Sydney, Australia): CGPA 2.5.
Courses that require a 2:1: Bachelor: 80% (75% for double first-class universities) awarded with IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each part of the test (or equivalent).
For non-standard grading systems: Hong Kong Baptist University (in conjunction with Beijing Normal University, P R China): CGPA 3.3. SHU-UTS SILC Business School (awarded by University of Technology, Sydney, Australia): CGPA 3.5.
