Free Cyber Law Workshops

The cyber law workshops (both online and face to face) are filled with interactive learning activities to introduce you to the fundamental issues and principles around the law of cyber space. If you live in Powys, you are welcome to attend one or more of these FREE workshops.

Each workshop will focus on a specific topical issue including:

  • Topic 0: Be a Digital Ninja: Learn about Internet Safety and Your Rights
  • Topic 1: Cybercrime: Bad Guys, Ethical Hackers and the Law
  • Topic 2: Your Digital Double: Surveillance, Privacy and Data Rights
  • Topic 3: Memes, Gifs & TikToks: Your Rights and Responsibilities
  • Topic 4: Foundations in LegalTech

The Cyber Law Workshops are led are led by Dr Sara Correia-Hopkins as a partner in the Digital Technology Learning Support Network (DTLSN): Digital Skills Enrichment Camps (DTLSN) project, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. This project aims to improve digital inclusion (confidence, trust, awareness, and safety) and enhance digital skills, in the Powys area. DTLSN is led by Dr Fiona Carroll (Reader of Human Computer Interaction, Cardiff Metropolitan University), in collaboration with Swansea University and Technocamps.
