Workshop 2: Digital Double
How much of your personal data is “out there” on the internet? Do we even notice when we are being ‘watched’ through the apps and technology we use?
In this session, you will learn about surveillance, privacy and data rights through a legal lens. Together, we will explore our experiences of sharing personal data with people we know, people we don’t know, corporations and public authorities. You will learn about the right to privacy and your rights under data protection legislation. As well as developing an understanding of the law, we will discuss some of its current limitations.
