Workshop 3: Memes, Gifs and TikToks
Have you ever downloaded a random image from the internet to use in a school or work presentation? Did you have permission from the author? Who owns the cate videos and TikToks circulating on the Internet? Who can claim ownership and use content created by computer programmes like ChatGPT?
The internet and emerging technologies have created new challenges to our understanding and ability to legally and ethically use digital content, as well as to protect our own creations. In this session we will explore key ideas in Intellectual Property and Copyright law and how they apply in the digital world.
