Important Questions Answered
1. How do I enter a team?
You can enter a team by filling in our online form.
2. Is there a cap on teams that can enter the competition?
There is a preliminary cap of 40 (forty) teams. However, this is for guidance only, and it is hoped that we will be able to accommodate all teams that enter.
3. Is there a limit on teams from an individual institution?
In the first instance only one team per institution will be accepted. For institutions that have multiple sub-institutions, please email the competition co-ordinator, Matthew Parry, for clarification.
4. Can competitors be from multiple institutions?
No, the team must be from a single institution.
5. Is there a fee to enter?
There is a fee of £500. You will be sent an invoice for this amount and entry is provisional until the fee is paid.
6. How will Visa invitations be issued?
If you have indicated that you need a visa, then we will issue formal invitation letters for all delegates. In order to do this we will need the names of all delegates. Please make sure that all spellings are correct and represent the names you need on the letters as corrections take time. We are not responsible for visa processes and it is important that you apply for visas as early as possible.
7. How do I get to Swansea?
Depending on where you are coming from the two most likely options are train (within Europe) or flying.
If coming by train, the Eurostar can be taken into London St Pancras. From there you can either get to Swansea via coach (normally departs from London Victoria) or train.
If flying, the closest airports are Cardiff and Bristol. From these airports you can then get to train stations or bus transport to get to Swansea.
The more likely airport to fly into is one of the London airports- probably London Heathrow or Gatwick. As with the train, once in these airports you can get to Swansea via bus or train.

8. What is the accommodation situation?
We are unable to provide accommodation on campus. There are many hotels and Bed and Breakfasts within access of the Swansea Singleton Campus, and you can find some of these through a range of online search sites.
We are sourcing accommodation locally with whom we will arrange deals and publish these once finalised.
Please note that the first part of the competition is in Swansea and the second part is in London. We will be providing transport from Swansea to London and the official ending of the competition is in London at our sponsor’s offices. You will therefore need to book accommodation as follows:
Friday 30th June (if necessary) – Wednesday 5th July 2023 - Swansea
Thursday 6th July 2023 – Saturday 8th July 2023 (if necessary) - London
The competition registration is on Saturday 1st July and the closing ceremony is Friday 7th July but you may need the extra nights depending on flights.
