Students studying around table

The Mathematics Department at Swansea University is based at the Bay Campus, in the £32.5M Computational Foundry. Students and researchers alike will be working in an environment dedicated to the computational sciences. The Foundry is a place where industry partners can work with us, test new ideas and allow our students and researchers to work on real-world problems.

We offer a variety of courses at UG and PG level, including BSc Actuarial Science and MSc Mathematics for Finance. Most courses are accredited by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications.

Our research interests are varied; and cover Algebra and Topology, Stochastic Analysis, Mathematics Education, Biomathematics, Computational Mathematics, and Analysis and Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations.
