About ARCH and Swansea University
ARCH is a regional partnership made up of Swansea University, Abertawe Bro Morgannwg and Hywel Dda University Health Boards. The ARCH partners are working to improve the health, wealth and wellbeing of the people of South West Wales.
The Medical School, along with colleagues in the School of Health and Social Care and the School of Management, are working together with our university health boards to create:
- A healthcare system fit for the 21st Century
- To drive investment and create jobs to boost economy of South West Wales
- To skill up the next generation of clinicians, researchers, academics, innovators and leaders
A visionary partnership leading healthcare innovation
The visionary ARCH Partnership has already started to develop leading healthcare innovation which will benefit the entire population of the South West Wales region. ARCH aims to modernise our healthcare system, which remember was set up 70 years ago. This will allow us to better meet the needs of our current population which now lives in a very different world.
The Medical School helps bring together industry, innovation, academic research with all health sectors. The School is also using technology and Big Data to deliver innovative services and new technologies and treatments as well as creating a multi-professional learning and training environment can train, recruit, and retain the best talent to help our NHS thrive for another 70 years.
