Visit Us and Get that Swansea Feeling!
From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel at home at Swansea—and we can’t wait to meet you! Swansea isn’t just a university; it’s a way of life. It’s a community with a lasting impact; it’s a place where you can make memories and find new experiences. Our open days are a great way to see what life here is really like. But be warned; once you arrive—as many of our undergraduates have discovered—you may never want to leave.
Outside of our university campuses, you can also discover a world of food, culture, and people. From Mumbles to the Maritime Quarter, to two famous Welsh ice cream parlours, you’ll experience breath-taking beaches and a city full of scenic charms and vibrant social scenes.
Just like our student Maya Dotson, you too can enjoy a slice of Swansea life:
"When I think of Swansea I think of the beach. I think of walking over from Singleton campus, propping up a small barbeque and hanging out with friends in the sand. Swansea has some of the most extreme tides and it's really fun to watch them come in and out.”
No matter how you get here, you'll feel at home. At Swansea we are a community, and we embrace all of our students. With four different accommodation locations, and designated areas, ranging from quiet, single, sex, alcohol free, mature, and Welsh speaking residences, we’re sure we’ll have something for you!
Making the most of that ‘Swansea Feeling’ at your Open Day Visit
Attending our Open Day is a great way to get that ‘Swansea Feeling’—where you’ll experience our community atmosphere and see the many facilities we have to offer. You’ll spend the day exploring our campuses and will discover what life is really like at Swansea. Our open days are an informal and fun way to get an insight into university life. Here’s what you can do to make the most of it:
- Do a Campus Tour.
- Visit our Accommodation.
- Got to a Subject Session.
- Ask questions. Have a think about any questions you might have before visiting us—and make sure to ask them! Whether it’s ‘what’s student life on campus’ to ‘where’s the nearest train station’ there’s no wrong question! Our staff and student ambassadors are always happy to help.
- Explore our City Centre. If you have time, we recommend going into our City Centre—maybe to get some dinner, do a bit of shopping, or to see the sights. It’s a good idea to make sure you like our city; you’re probably going to spend quite a bit of time here!
