Today we welcome Tab Betts, co-founder of the Active Learning Network and a Lecturer in Higher Education Pedagogy at the University of Sussex; and Luke O'Sullivan, a Senior Academic Developer from Swansea University's Academy of Learning and Teaching (SALT).

In this episode we discuss how Active Learning pedagogy is a game changer in the classroom, how lecturers can take their first steps in implementing Active Learning approaches, and how we can scale these strategies for use in large lecture theater scenarios.

We also hear about the work of the Active Learning Network, the ways in which colleagues in education can benefit from their activities, and the opportunities for staff to get involved and contribute to the life of the network. To find out more:

Swansea University staff can access a one-page primer on Active Learning, and contact SALT to get connected with Swansea University's Active Learning community.
