Innovation Academy

The Innovation Academy delivers world-class learning, research and teaching base that equips leaders with the confidence, skills and capability to realise innovation in various sectors, including but not limited to ICT, Engineering, Aquaculture, Defence, Cyber Security and Health and Care.

Part of the Innovation Academy is the All-Wales Intensive Learning Academy for Innovation in Health and Social Care (IHSC). The IHSC Academy equip leaders with the confidence, skills and capability to realise innovation across health, social care and the third sector. 

Our programmes cover a range of sectors and offer flexible two-year part-time study options, which includes a client-based project, and use a variety of teaching methods developed by experts and practitioners from public and private sector organisations.

The All-Wales Innovation in Health and Social Care (IHSC) Academy is supported by Welsh Government, it was created to develop to support innovation, from the incremental to transformative across Health & Social Care. Involving public, private and third sectors through a case-based learning and practice approach, drawing upon front-line activities of groups such as the NHS Innovation Leads through to international knowledge and expertise of international partners and networks.

The Academy offers a unique framework of learning opportunities delivered in partnership with Cardiff & Vale University Health Board, and the Bevan Commission.
