Part-time MBA At Swansea

Achieving an MBA will have a significant impact on your career progression but dedicating a year to full-time studies doesn’t suit everyone. The juggle between work commitments and study is often met with apprehension, but it needn’t.

The part-time MBA at Swansea University has been designed so you can effectively manage and thrive in your studies alongside your career and other commitments.

This part-time programme follows the exact same syllabus at its full-time counterpart but is set across two years.

It is flexible, seminars take place over intensive weekends every 8-10 weeks and the syllabus explores practical, contemporary themes and issues which you can directly feedback into your organisation.

You will study progressive business modules, such as:

Leading with Integrity
Creating Sustainable Value
Data Analysis and Decision Making

In enrolling onto the Part-Time MBA programme, you will become part of a thriving network of professional learners who are dedicated to make a difference in their individual organisations and beyond. You will learn alongside peers from all sectors – private, public and third sector – all seeking to develop their management skills and career opportunities.

How will I be taught?

Each module will follow the following structure:

Stage 1:

Online – To set the foundation elements of the module, such as introducing key themes, establishing assessment requirements

Stage 2:

In-Person – To provide the social learning building on Stage 1. The face-to-face element of learning plays an important role in enabling more in-depth discussion and it provides an opportunity to meet and engage with other students, as well as key, guest speakers

Face-to-Face frequency: Every 8-10 weeks

Stage 3:

Online – To reinforce the themes introduced in the module and to support students in final assessments for the module

Assessments

The 8-10 week break between each weekend session will give you time to complete assessments and prepare for the next weekend session

Additional, online learning resource

Resource will be available on-demand through our online learning platform; and will include faculty-led short videos, links to external resources and articles, case studies, and discussion forums
