I have been involved with education and professional development, teaching and training for 25 years, with a particular interests in management and leadership within health care, evidence based practice, clinical practice and specialist oncology and palliative care.
I am experienced in research trials including planning, data collection, analysis and evaluation within health care. I have a doctorate in Nursing Science and undertook a qualitative study of palliative care nurse specialists understanding and management of suffering and their personal response to working with patients who are suffering. My research interest are suffering, coping and resilience, the management of change to implement evidence based practice, staff support to undertake work with cancer and palliative care, communication and survivorship through diagnosis, treatment and following cancer.
