Ryan Tristram-Walmsley is an historian of modern Britain, specialising in the history of emotions. He earnt his bachelor’s degree from the University of Liverpool, his master’s from the University of Amsterdam, and his doctorate from the University of Kent, where he secured a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Joint Doctorate grant to research the first emotional history of migrants in postwar Britain. Ryan joins the faculty as an ESRC postdoctoral fellow to consolidate the research he conducted during his doctorate.
