About

Jing received her PhD degree from the University of Sheffield, focusing on Labour Economics and Health Economics.

Before joining the Department of Economics as a lecturer in August 2017, Jing worked at Swansea Centre for Health Economics as a research assistant, participating in several projects on health economics analysis.

With research interests in the Microeconomics field, Jing is able to supervise PhD candidates with research topics in Labour Economics, Energy Economics, Health Economics, Education Economics and other empirical Microeconomics issues.

EC-1018 Mathematical Techniques for Economics A

This module provides students with a comprehensive knowledge of mathematical tools used in the analysis of economic problems. The importance of these methods is demonstrated by their application to a range of traditional economic problems, for example, utility and profit maximisation.
EC-2022 Health Economics

This module applies economic approaches to the global healthcare market.
EC-M029 Microeconomics

This module surveys many recent areas of development in microeconomics. An emphasis is placed on the economics of information and game theory. In addition, the module looks at the rapidly developing area of behavioural economics.
