Dr Liadh Timmins’ research is broadly concerned with sexual orientation and gender identity. This includes the impacts of minority stress on sexual and gender minorities; the psychology of prejudice; and social and cognitive components of sexual orientation and gender identity. Their work uses an intersectional and feminist lens.
Dr Timmins received their BA in Psychology from Maynooth University, their MSc in Applied Psychology from Trinity College Dublin, and their PhD in Psychology from King’s College London. They completed postdoctoral training in Epidemiology with a focus on Social Epidemiology at Columbia University.
