Before joining Swansea in September 2014, Rosen was a research fellow in University of St Andrews from January 2013.
He obtained a PhD in Economics from University of Dundee in 2014 and an MSc from University of Nottingham. His PhD thesis was on Bank centric monetary transmission channels in the United States.
Rosen's research interests include bank centric monetary transmission mechanism channels, inflation dynamics applied econometrics and real estate economics. He is also interested in time series (structural breaks in data generation processes, switching models) and spatial econometric theory.
Rosen is interested in supervising PhD students in the areas of monetary policy and banking and on housing/real estate economics.
Rosen is currently working on a collaborative project with the University of Dhaka evaluating Monetary Policy in Bangladesh.
