Stephen gained his PhD in Genetic toxicology from Swansea University in 2016; his thesis focused on the development of co-culture in vitro airway models for the assessment of nanoparticle genotoxicity.
Stephen is now a Research and Innovation Officer within the In Vitro Toxicology Group (IVTG) at Swansea as part of the Welsh Government and EU funded Celtic Life Sciences Innovation Network (CALIN). His role focuses on assisting small companies with product and process development. Stephen’s primary research interests are in nanotoxicology, genetic toxicology, advanced in vitro cell models, nanoparticle characterisation and electron microscopy.
