Osian Elias is a Lecturer in human geography with broad interests in social and political geography and in interdisciplinary work. Osian's research interests span language, sustainability, and behavioural science and policy and he is especially concerned with the impact of his research. Osian has presented his work across the UK and Europe and engages across a range of disciplines, including behavioural science and policy, sociolinguistics and geography.
Osian is a fluent Welsh speaker and enjoys his contribution to the geography department's Welsh-medium provision. Osian joined Swansea University in 2017, after completing his PhD on language and behavioural science at Aberystwyth University. Outside of work, Osian is a keen cyclist, walker and an avid follower of the Welsh football team.
