About
My academic background is in service operations and supply chain management. My interdisciplinary research aims to improve the quality of health and social care services by drawing on approaches used in other sectors. As a Health Foundation Improvement Science Fellow, my research focused on examining the design of patient care pathways using improvement techniques originating from other sectors. More recently this has been extended to focus on experienced-based co-design approaches to improving long-term conditions. I am lead of the Swansea Centre for Improvement and Innovation, which is committed to supporting healthcare professionals, managers and policy makers to improve the design and delivery of health and social care. I am a member of the Health Foundation Q Community and other societies such as the British Academy of Management.
