Stella, or Xuehong He in Chinese, received her Ph.D. in Second Language Studies from Michigan State University, USA.
Her teaching experience has come from the United States and Japan, where she taught courses in applied linguistics and in Chinese and English as foreign languages.
Stella’s research interests include Instructed Second Language Acquisition, Second Language Vocabulary Acquisition, and Second Language Psycholinguistics.
She mainly adopts cognitive and psycholinguistic approaches (e.g., eye-tracking) to investigate instructional issues and individual differences, with special attention to vocabulary learning and teaching.
