Zhenghong is a Lecturer in Finance at the School of Management, Swansea University, a position he has held since January 2024. Prior to this, Zhenghong gained extensive research experience through postdoctoral positions at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Reading. He earned his PhD in Finance from the ICMA Centre at Henley Business School, where he also completed an MSc in Financial Risk Management as the best performing student. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Dalian University of Technology in Mainland China.

Zhenghong's research interests are diverse and encompass climate finance, financing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), survival risk, and the emerging field of wellbeing finance.
