About

I earned my certification as an RCVS Veterinary Nurse in 1999, which laid the foundation for my interest in animal care and research. In private veterinary practice I expanded my expertise and pursued additional studies in companion animal behavior and small animal nutrition, enriching my understanding of animal welfare.

In 2020 I started I work at Swansea University as an animal research technician within the SLAM Lab team. I oversee the welfare and training of avian subjects at the wind tunnel facility and assist researchers in data collection and operation of the wind tunnel and 3D motion capture system.

I recently completed my MSc (Res) in Biosciences, with a specialised focus on exploring the properties of materials utilized in drop-off harness construction. This research not only deepened my understanding of materials science but also offered insights crucial to enhancing safety measures in animal-related experiments.
