About The Role
The fixed-term lecturer will join Professor Chenfeng Li’s esteemed research team, focusing on the expansive and dynamic fields of construction materials and the associated construction methods. With respect to construction materials, the scope includes structural materials such as concrete and steel, as well as functional materials like cladding and insulation components. In terms of construction methods, the emphasis is placed on ensuring safety, enhancing durability, and optimizing economic efficiency.
The ideal candidate for this position should possess a robust background in both teaching and research related to construction materials and construction methods. They should be proficient in utilizing both experimental techniques and computer modelling methodologies. Additionally, the candidate should have well-established connections within the civil engineering industries in the UK and Europe, enabling them to bridge academic research with practical industry applications.

Welsh Language Skills
The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
