Kennedys is a global law firm with 67 offices, associations and co-operations dotted around the world.
The Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law are rather fortunate that in 2019, the firm introduced a new Prize “Kennedys’ Marine Insurance Prize” to students studying at Swansea Law School.
This year’s winner of the Prize was Angela Nicholas. Angela is a graduate of Swansea who also completed her LPC at Swansea and worked in a well-known insurance company, Admiral, for a lengthy period of time. Angela’s Prize was presented at London offices of Kennedys by Mr Michael Biltoo, who is also a Swansea graduate.
Speaking after the event Angela commented:
“It was a great honour to receive a prize from such a prestigious firm, and a wonderful opportunity to visit and speak with specialists in such an exciting area of law. The support of such well respected law firms highlights the value and regard that an LLM degree from Swansea holds.”
Professor Soyer, Director of Shipping and Trade at Swansea, accompanied Angela to Kennedys, and had a working lunch with several lawyers of the firm discussing potential collaboration on new projects.
