Swansea University is once again gearing up for one of the most eagerly anticipated Welsh Varsity which returns on Wednesday 9 April at Cardiff’s iconic Principality Stadium, backed by the generous support of key sponsors Compass Group, Mitie, UK Flooring Direct, and Graham.
The Welsh Varsity is a week-long celebration of student sport, bringing together competitors from Swansea and Cardiff Universities across more than 50 sports including rugby, hockey, netball, football, swimming, fencing, and more.
This year’s action-packed schedule will culminate in the highly anticipated men’s and women’s rugby matches, both set to be played under the lights at Principality Stadium.
Now established as the second biggest Varsity event in the UK, behind only the famous Oxford v Cambridge Varsity, the Welsh Varsity continues to attract thousands of students and supporters in a vibrant display of sport, pride and university spirit.
