ARCS is excited to kick off 2025 by welcoming new team member, Dilyana ("Dee") Mihaylova!
Di joins us after three impactful years at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, where she managed key initiatives like the Global Plastics Pact Network and co-authored “Unlocking a Reuse Revolution.” This widely praised report provides a roadmap for shifting from recycling to reuse in the global economy and has been described as “a blueprint for achieving the crucial step change” by the Vice President of the European Investment Bank.
Di brings a unique perspective as a systems change practitioner passionate about addressing the root causes of global challenges. With an MSc in Applied Ecology and Conservation, she has spent the past ten years working in the nonprofit sector with organisations like Fauna & Flora International, Ocean Generation, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation where she has led collaborations that have influenced national policies.
Recently, Di moved to Mumbles with her half-Welsh partner and is loving life on the Gower coast and with its communities. She’s eager to work directly with people and organisations across Wales, using her skills to enable systems change through the adoption of regenerative practices.
Di’s main role at ARCS will be to work directly with companies to deliver training sessions that help organisations build their capacity for sustainable and regenerative practices. Drawing on her expertise in systems thinking and cross-sector collaboration, she will deliver workshops in-person and online, tailored to equip teams with practical tools and knowledge needed to drive meaningful change. Find out more about the training available here, or email Di at ARCS@swansea.ac.uk.
Dilyana’s expertise and passion for systems innovation mark an exciting new chapter for ARCS. We’re thrilled to have her on board and look forward to the positive impact she’ll bring in 2025.
