Taking Women's Rugby to the next level!
It was a pleasure to host a Welsh Rugby Union Women's & Girls coaching conference at Swansea Uni this month with Ioan Cunningham (WRU Women’s Head coach) and Liza Burgess (WRU Women's & Girls Pathway Lead coach).
This was an incredible opportunity to invite our national coaches along to deliver a coaching session with our Player Development Centre (PDC) players, with a focus on defence principles and lineout technique.
This session involved two practical demonstrations and a classroom session around creating a culture for up-and-coming community coaches. These sessions provided the coaches with valuable insights and techniques to elevate the women and girls' rugby game at the grassroot level.
We are the first to offer this service for the women's & girls’ game as we strive to develop more initiatives to create to a stronger hub out of the Swansea University PDC West.
