What influenced your decision to study in the UK, and specifically in Swansea?

I studied in a British system high school, so it seemed natural to come to the UK for university. I hadn't heard much about Wales until I found out about Swansea University. I was intrigued by the culture and thought it would be fun to experience.

How have you found the social life at Swansea University?

I found the social scene at Swansea University to be lively and diverse, with numerous clubs and societies. I have enjoyed trying out several and have had a great experience each time, as well as met some wonderful people.

How has your experience been adapting to the differences between your home country and the UK?

Adapting to the differences between my home country and the UK has been a fascinating experience. Having travelled from a young age, I’ve always embraced new environments and cultures with enthusiasm. Moving to the UK was no different—just another exciting chapter in my journey of exploration. I approached it with the same curiosity and adaptability that has guided me throughout my life. The different aspects of the UK culture, from the social norms to the weather, have provided me with new opportunities to learn and grow, making this transition a rewarding experience.

What kind of support have you received from the university as an international student?

The university has an international campus life department that you can contact via email, live chat, or in person at any time. They were very helpful in assisting with my visa application and extension and were very supportive in addressing all my questions and concerns.

How would you describe your experience living in Swansea?

Living in Swansea has been a great experience. The city strikes a perfect balance between city life and natural beauty. I love how close everything is—the stunning beaches, scenic parks, and the lively city centre are all within easy reach.
