What are your top 3 favourite things about Swansea (the city/area)?
1. The amount of scenic beaches that surround us, allowing for a nice break from student life.
2. The hidden gems of the town; discovering independent food places.
3. The amount of nature walks that you can go on, whether it be in the park or up the hills, getting the best view of Swansea city.

Why did you choose to study your degree at Swansea?
The location drew me in, being that I have lived near the sea my entire life and couldn’t let that luxury go when I came to university. The course itself offered a variety of topics which would help me to discover multiple areas within psychology so that I could see what I was most drawn to.

What is your favourite thing about your course?
The ability to discover new parts of psychology that didn’t initially interest me, but eventually became very interesting due to the styles of teaching. Furthermore, the lecturers are very passionate about their subjects, and it motivates me to do well, as well as become indulged within the module.

What are you planning to do after you graduate / what are you doing following graduation?
Post-graduation, I plan on continuing my education by completing a master’s degree, whilst I remain at home. Hopefully a master’s in marketing psychology and consumerism.

Would you recommend Swansea University to other students?
I would highly recommend Swansea University to other students, as the atmosphere amongst students is abundant and you get to know a lot of people whilst being in Swansea and become a part of the community. The student lifestyle here isn’t as intimidating as some may assume before coming to university. Swansea is a very welcoming city and has become a second home for me.

Are you/have you been part of a society?
I am currently the Vice President of the Dance society, which I have been a part of for the last 2 years.

Have you lived in halls/student housing or at home during your studies?
In my first year I lived on Bay Campus and for my last 2 years of university I have chosen to live in private student accommodation in town.

Have you worked part-time during your degree?
I have an online part-time job tutoring primary school children in Maths and English. In the summer of my second year, I also was an intern for the Psychology department for a couple of months. When I go home for holidays I also work in a Farm shop as a deli assistant.
