What are your top 3 favourite things about Swansea (the city/area)?
1. The beach!
2. The city and its people, who are warm and welcoming (although the weather isn’t always).
3. The cost of living in Swansea is much better than other big cities.

Why did you choose to study your degree at Swansea?
The modules in my programme were more suited for my areas of interest, and Swansea Uni is reputed for having high research opportunities.

What is your favourite thing about your course?
My favourite part of the course was that I had the opportunity to be mentored by our Programme Director, who helped me do primary research on the area of healthcare that I am interested in.

What are you planning to do after you graduate / what are you doing following graduation?
I’m currently a lecturer in the same programme that I graduated from. My dream was to enter academia and it has been granted. I’m happy to be working alongside some brilliant lecturers, and I’m hoping to fulfil my goal of obtaining a PhD in the same field with the support of them.

Would you recommend Swansea University to other students?
Yes, I would recommend Swansea University to other students. Swansea is one of the calmer cities of the UK, and the cost of living here is very affordable, especially for international students.

Are you/have you been part of a society?
Yes, the Asian society, the Tamil society.

Have you lived in halls/student housing or at home during your studies?
I lived in student accommodation (Seren).

Have you worked part-time during your degree?
Yes, as a student ambassador for Swansea university.
