Why did you choose to study at Swansea University?
The first thing I considered when applying to Swansea University was the course, taught modules and the rank of the University. The course I am doing at Swansea University matches my interests,
can contribute to my future career and help me improve my skills. I also considered the rank of universities when I was applying. Swansea University was ranked 31st of UK universities according
to The Guardian and has the best quality of law courses in the UK. Finally, I made my decision to Join Swansea university because of its location in the heart of a coastal city in South Wales. I
wanted to escape from the noise of big cities and enjoy the beauty of nature in the United Kingdom.
Can you tell us about your course and what do you enjoy the most?
The LLM in Human Rights course at Swansea University focuses on the biggest challenges facing society today, including digital surveillance, environment protection, terrorism and asylum and
migration issues. This course is comprehensive and discusses in-depth challenges for human rights around the world and possible responses through legislation, policy and practice. I enjoy how
contemporary this course is to human rights issues and the interesting discussion during lectures with other international students from different backgrounds.
What are your three favourite things about Swansea?
Swansea is a small city, but it has its own charm. It is a coastal city in the south of Wales and has wonderful places to discover every day. I love to ride my bicycle to Mumbles and enjoy the
sunset there. I love when I spend the night with my friends at Wind Street, trying new pubs and restaurants with different cuisines. I love shopping at the ethnic shops in St Helen’s Rd where I
can find all the ingredients to cook my favourite traditional dishes from my home country.
Would you recommend Swansea University to other international students?
If you are looking for quality education in the best universities in the UK, if you enjoy outdoor activities and long walks in wonderful landscapes, and if you want to live in a multicultural
city, I absolutely recommend that you join Swansea University.
