About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic researcher in the area of engineered glycosystems with an application for targeting pathogens. The project is funded by the German Science Foundation and the researcher will work towards the development of these systems through glycoconjugation on nanoparticle surfaces finally leading to elastic microstructures. The overarching aim of the project is to develop customized glycosystems with bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties.
This project role requires a mix of organic synthesis, nanoparticles, biophysical measurements, and preliminary screening in the biology labs.
