About The Role

This is a Permanent post working full-time and the post holder is required to be a fluent Welsh speaker.

Swansea University's Web Team is looking for a dynamic and proactive Marketing Officer (Welsh) to support a variety of digital and content management tasks. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with web editors, content creators, and web developers to enhance usability and ensure a high-quality user experience across our online platforms.

You will be responsible for overseeing Welsh medium content, resolving content-related technical issues, and supporting web editors across the university. Your role will involve optimising and managing the university’s website to maintain a strong Welsh language presence, aligned with our strategic goals. Additionally, this role requires you to guide, train, and educate staff across the university on web development and web content best practices.

You will collaborate closely with our Back-End and Front-End Web Developers, UX specialists, and marketing teams to implement campaigns, drive digital engagement, and support the ongoing development of our online presence. You’ll play a key role in enhancing the university’s Welsh digital footprint by creating SEO-friendly, engaging materials that meet the needs of various audiences, including prospective students, partners, and stakeholders.

This role combines marketing expertise with web management responsibilities, requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems quickly. You should be comfortable troubleshooting content-related technical issues, managing digital platforms, and ensuring a smooth user experience.

Fluency in Welsh and experience with content management systems (CMS) are essential for this post.
