The School of Management at Swansea University was honoured to recently host a distinguished delegation from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Nigeria.
The visiting delegation included the Vice Chancellor of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Professor Ayodeji Olayinka Johnson Agboola, and Professor Joseph Ashidi. The purpose of their visit was to explore potential collaborations in curriculum development and research initiatives.
A significant highlight of the visit was a meeting between the Vice Chancellors of both universities, Professor Paul Boyle of Swansea University and Professor Agboola of Olabisi Onabanjo University. This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss shared interests and potential areas of collaboration.
The visit was also a continuation of a successful British Council project led by Dr. Samuel Ebie, which laid the groundwork for future collaborations between the two institutions.
Professor Paul Jones, Head of the School of Management at Swansea University, expressed his enthusiasm for the visit, stating, "We were delighted to host Vice Chancellor Professor Agboola and Professor Ashidi. It was a fruitful discussion between us, and we welcome the opportunity for further collaboration in both research and curriculum in the coming months and years."
The visit from Olabisi Onabanjo University's delegation marks an important step in strengthening international partnerships and fostering academic exchange between Swansea University and institutions in Nigeria. It is anticipated that this visit will lead to exciting opportunities for joint research projects, student exchanges, and other collaborative initiatives in the future.
