The Excellence in Learning and Teaching Award (ELTA)
At our July graduation ceremony, the School of Management celebrated the graduate cohort of 2022. During the ceremony, three learning and teaching awards were also awarded to the following staff members from the School of Management:
Emma James (who has won this award for the second time!)
The Swansea Excellence Award for Learning and Teaching (ELTA) is awarded annually to staff who have made an outstanding contribution to the student learning experience.
The award is intended to reflect the appreciation by students of the quality of the teaching and support that they have received, with all students given the opportunity to nominate one of their teachers or other staff members for these awards and recognise individual excellence.
Professor Paul Jones, Head of the School of Management said:
“In the latest July graduation ceremony, it was wonderful for the School of Management to recognise the achievements of several our faculty who were recognised for winning Teaching and Learning awards. These awards are student nominated and perhaps the ultimate recognition of excellent teaching and learning practice. It has been another challenging year with the residual impacts of the pandemic and strike action impacting on the student experience. So I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Paul Davies, Emma James (who as won this award for the second time) and Dr Anita Zhao for their success in winning these awards which are down to their hard work, commitment and of course excellent teaching and learning practice. They are an example to us all! Congratulations again.”
