About The Role

Fixed term contract up to 31/12/2024

The Academic Partnerships Department supports the University and Faculties in developing and managing teaching and learning partnerships with education institutions and organisations in the UK and internationally.  With the University’s focus on expanding its transnational education offering (Swansea University education delivered internationally at partner institutions), the work of the Department and the number and scale of projects has increased significantly.  This role will involve providing administrative support to project teams including specific administrative functions necessary to ensure the effective set up and operation of collaborative partnerships, and duties associated with the management and operation of the office.  The successful candidate will be required to manage partnership records; provide support with meeting organisation, minute-taking, production of reports and follow up activities as well as partnership specific activities like quality assurance monitoring, manage the day-to-day activities of the Department, including acting as the main point of contact for enquiries and undertake financial duties as required.

The post holder will be expected to be competent in Microsoft applications, MS Teams, SharePoint, databases, and financial management systems.  The post holder will be expected to have suitable experience in a similar role and be familiar with processes of the University or similar organisations.  Excellent communication skills including the ability to liaise with senior University staff and external bodies will be essential to this role.

Welsh Language Skills

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
